Is Britney Spears dipping back into the single life again?

Us Weekly , E! News and People are all reporting the pop star and Charlie Ebersol, her boyfriend of eight months, are no longer together.

Though her rep has not responded to a request for comment, it's telling that Spears, 33, spent much of the weekend wiping Ebersol, 32, from her Instagram account.

Previously, Ebersol, who is the son of Saturday Night Live co-creator Dick Ebersol and actress Susan Saint James, had appeared together all over the singer's social media. On Valentine's Day, he made Spears a sweet cake that read "Charlie [hearts] Britney." In March, the couple posed for People and revealed how they met: through Spears' assistant.

"I thought he was really adorable and she said he was good to people, so I went for it," said Spears. For their first date, Ebersol asked what the famous gal might like to do. "I said, 'Cook for me!' " she said. "So he made fish, mushrooms, avocado with a dressing, and tomatoes and mozzarella. It was amazing."

The couple last appeared together at the Billboard Music Awards in May, where Spears performed Pretty Girls with Iggy Azalea.

But by Sunday, with Ebersol all but erased from her social media, Spears seemed to have a sunnier outlook, captioning a photo in her home state of Louisiana with a male friend: "So nice to be home! Nothing like Louisiana boys."
