The members of girl group HUNTR/X in the animated Netflix movie "KPop Demon Hunters" already rule the streaming and music world. Next conquest: Halloween.

Based on the latest Google Search data, the most sought-after Halloween costumes this season come from the Netflix streaming hit, with Rumi, Zoey and Mira —the trio who make up the fictional demon-hunting singing group HUNTR/X —holding the top three spots.

Nos. 4 and 5 are also "KPop Demon Hunters" characters: Jinu and Baby Saga of The Saga Boys, a boy band made up of demons. Also among the top 10 in Google's Frightgeist rankings: Derpy the Tiger, also from the animated film, at No. 8.

How popular are 'KPop Demon Hunters' Halloween costumes?

The "KPop Demon Hunters" costumes are popular nationwide, according to Google's Frightgeist findings, a comparison of September 2025 trending search data with that from a year ago:

  • Rumi is also the top searched-for kids' costume, with Labubu coming at No. 2. Other "KPop Demon Hunters" characters dominate the kids' top 10, with Zoey at No. 3, Mira (No. 4), Jinu (No. 5), Baby Saja (No. 6), and Derpy the Tiger (No. 7).
  • More than 80% of all metropolitan areas had at least one "KPop Demon Hunters" costume in their top five trending costumes.
  • All of the top five trending costumes in Los Angeles, Honolulu and Houston were from "KPop Demon Hunters."
  • Just more than 50% of all U.S. metropolitan areas had Rumi from "KPop Demon Hunters" as their top trending costume.

Anticipating the demand, Spirit Halloween teamed up with Netflix to offer exclusive "KPop Demon Hunters" costumes for kids and adults. Based on a check of the Spirit Halloween website, many are sold out online, but you can still go to Spirit Halloween stores.

It makes sense that "KPop Demon Hunters" dominates Google's Frightgeist because the animated film, about a K-pop girl group that also fights demons, dominates the entertainment zeitgeist.

Since its June release on Netflix, a sing-along version of the film became a hit in theaters in August. Singers Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, who provide the singing voices for the members of HUNTR/X in the movie, made appearances on "Saturday Night Live" on Oct. 4 and "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

A song they perform in the movie, "Golden," is atop the Billboard Hot 100 and there's three more songs from the film's soundtrack on the chart. The movie remains the No. 2 film streamed in the U.S. for the week Sept. 1-7, according to Nielsen.
