AMC launches 'Popcorn Pass' for Cyber Monday. Here's what it gets you

AMC Theatres is prioritizing popcorn this Cyber Monday.

Stubs rewards members will be able to get one large popcorn at half price every day through Dec. 31, 2026, with the "Popcorn Pass," a new annual perk for $29.99 plus tax.

Redeemable at all AMC Theatres in the US, the Popcorn Pass is available for purchase as an add-on perk through AMC's tiered rewards program.

Moviegoers can purchase the pass any time before next December, but, of course, the earlier you join, the more days of the yearlong discount deal you'll be able to reap.

"With a one-time annual purchase, AMC Stubs members unlock a daily discount on a large AMC Perfectly Popcorn – complete with the AMC Stubs free refill membership benefit – turning a single purchase into a full year of flavorful savings," according to a press release from AMC Theatres.

What you get with AMC's 'Popcorn Pass'

AMC Stubs members with the "Popcorn Pass" will be able to get up to 50% off a large popcorn every day plus a free refill per day.

The Popcorn Pass is available to all AMC Stubs members, regardless of tier, for an additional $29.99 plus tax. AMC's promotion starts Monday, Dec. 1, and extends through Dec. 31, 2026.

How it compares

Cinemark, another movie theater chain, offers customers 20% off concessions through its free Cinemark Movie Fan and $10.99-plus Movie Club tiers and 25% off its Platinum tier. Free drink refills, included.

Regal Cinemas, on the other hand, is offered moviegoers a similar deal as AMC in 2025, giving customers 50% off a large popcorn and large soft drink for $39.99 with the Regal Snack Saver. No word yet on whether that offer will continue in 2026.

According to MovieFoodPrices, a large popcorn at AMC retails between $9.39 and $9.89, which means customers, based on this estimate, would pay off their popcorn pass in about seven or eight visits.
