Fernando Cervantes Jr.Nordstrom is set to expand its footprint in 2026 with at least 14 new Nordstrom Rack stores opening in 10 U.S. states.
Opening dates have not been confirmed, but Nordstrom told USA TODAY in an emailed statement that the stores are set to open next year in Florida, California, Louisiana, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, Virginia and Ohio.
The past year has been one full of change for Nordstrom. In December 2024, the company was acquired for $6.25 billion by Nordstrom family members and the Mexican department store chain El Puerto de Liverpool.
The deal was eventually closed in the first half of this year, with the Nordstrom family owning 50.1% and Liverpool taking the other 49.9%, according to the company.
