White Castle Frozen Food Division recalled its four-count cartons of sliders due to an undeclared ingredient, according to an announcement posted to the FDA's website.

According to the recall, 1,021 cases of four-count cartons of Original Sliders, which may have been sold in all 50 states between August and October, were recalled. The cartons, which may contain Jalapeño Cheese Sliders, are being recalled because they may contain milk and soy ingredients that were not declared on the ingredient list.

The Jalapeño Cheese Sliders were packaged in the wrong carton, according to an announcement posted to the Food and Drug Administration's website on Friday, Dec. 12. The issue was discovered after a customer notified White Castle that they suffered from a non-life-threatening allergic reaction due to the mistaken packaging.

"Consumers with an allergy or sensitivity to milk or soy run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product," the announcement stated.

Here's what to know about the recall.
