Remember when you could get a can of pop for a nickel? Yeah, neither do we.

But Mountain Dew certainly does, and it’s selling 5-cent soda bundles to honor those simpler times, as well as the company’s founding nearly 80 years ago.

Here’s what you need to know to get your hands on a commemorative bundle.

Mountain Dew will be dropping 1,948 $0.05 soda bundles exclusively on its TikTok shop for three days –– June 29, June 30 and July 1.

However, there’s a catch. Only 1,948 bundles will be sold across the three days, in honor of the iconic citrus soda’s founding in 1948. Quantities will be announced via Mountain Dew’s Instagram Stories at 12 p.m. ET each day.

The bundles, which are limited to one per person –– if you’re lucky enough –– include a commemorative can and a 10-pack of mini cans.

Celebrating 'Dew history'

Mountain Dew was created by two brothers in the hills of Tennessee. It has since become an iconic brand that extends well beyond the confines of a can, and its very name is synonymous with virality.

Its willingness to lean into meme culture and outrageous cross-product promotions is baked into the company’s identity.

"Since 1948, Mountain Dew has been defined by bold spirit, unrelentless grit and ambitious energy – qualities that continue to drive the brand forward today," Michael Smith, Mountain Dew’s VP of Marketing, said in a news release. "This commemorative can is about bringing that origin story to life, paying homage to our roots as an American Original and giving fans a meaningful way to celebrate Dew history."
