Buc-ee's opening 2 locations in these 2 states in August

June 29, 2026, 1:23 p.m. ET

Buc-ee, the buck-toothed mascot representing the Texas-based convenience store chain, is putting on his red cap and heading to two more states this August.

Locations in Arkansas and Texas will open their doors in the coming months, including an Aug. 12 opening in San Marcos, Texas, Buc-ee's Media Manager Crissy Gonzales confirmed in an email to USA TODAY on Monday, June 29.

The company typically announces openings on its Facebook page. Recent announcements include the company's first Ohio location, which opened on April 6 in Huber Heights, and the first Arizona location, which opened on June 22 in Goodyear.

City officials said in a news release on June 25 that Buc-ee’s chose Arizona for its next location because the state has "economic momentum" and a strong workforce.

The openings are part of an expansion plan for Buc-ee's, which is known for its gas pumps, clean bathrooms, barbecue sandwiches and specialty snacks. According to the company's website, openings are planned for the next five years.

Buc-ee's declined to comment when contacted by USA TODAY Monday, June 29, for addresses for the locations opening in August.

Here’s what we know so far.
