LeBron James is a slam dunk as Kia's new pitchman

If automaker Kia can find three more superstars, it will have an unbeatable NBA team.
The brand known for having all-star Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers as its pitchman has now added an even bigger name: LeBron James.
The Cleveland Cavaliers megastar is hawking the new Kia K900 luxury car. Even before the deal was signed, he had taken notice of the big rear-wheel drive sedan aimed at creating a new image for Kia.
"I was a Kia K900 driver and fan before we decided to become partners, so I'm really excited to be Kia's first-ever luxury ambassador," says James in a statement. "This partnership is about the power of great style and performance. Kia and the K900 are out to challenge conventional wisdom and show people how to think differently, and I can relate to that."
James, known for his passion around fine cars, already had some experience with the K900. He posted "Rolling around in my K900. Love this car!" online with photos of the sedan during the summer, Kia says.
Kia loves the image of James taking an independent look at the K900, keeping an open mind to the notion that the mainstream South Korean brand could pump out a luxury car that invites comparisons to Germany's best.
"Like Kia, LeBron James does not want to be confined by conventions or traditional definitions," says Tim Chaney, a Kia vice president in the U.S., in a statement. "As our K900 luxury ambassador, his star power will cause people to question everything they think they know about our brand."
