Cinnabon debuts butterbeer menu for 'Harry Potter' anniversary

Harry Potter may need to make a pit stop at Cinnabon before making his way to Platform 9 3/4.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" movie release, the cinnamon roll chain Cinnabon is debuting two new butterbeer-flavored treats in May. A popular drink in the "Harry Potter" franchise, butterbeer is inspired by butterscotch.

Cinnabon's treats come amid the hype for the new "Harry Potter" HBO television show, which airs on Christmas. The first season of the new adaptation of J.K. Rowling's popular book series will feature 10 episodes. Dominic McLaughlin will play as Harry Potter, a role long held by Daniel Radcliffe, who played the wizard in the eight original films.

What are Cinnabon's butterbeer specials?

Cinnabon is releasing a butterbeer-flavored cinnamon roll − a classic roll with butterbeer-infused frosting served in "Harry Potter" packaging, and a butterbeer-flavored Chillatta, a blended drink made with butterbeer and vanilla flavoring, according to a news release.

When is Cinnabon's butterbeer collection available?

The butterbeer-flavored cinnamon roll and Chillatta are available May 4-17 at participating locations, according to the release.

Cinnabon offers $2 off coupon for first 934 rewards members

On May 4, the first 934 Cinnabon rewards members to enter the promotional code "Platform934" in the Cinnabon mobile app will receive an offer for $2 off a butterbeer cinnamon roll.

Cinnabon is also offering a limited-edition "Harry Potter" and Cinnabon t-shirt for the first 50 rewards members who visit Cinnabon's Butterbeer Sweepstakes website on May 4. Ten of these rewards members will also be entered into a giveaway for free Classic Rolls for a year − one cinnamon roll for 52 weeks, according to the release.
