Hot sliders on demand? White Castle kiosks launching nationwide
Anthony ThompsonWhite Castle is taking its signature sliders beyond restaurants and grocery store freezer aisles, announcing plans to roll out automated hot-food kiosks nationwide that serve the chain’s burgers.
The Columbus, Ohio-based fast-food chain announced Tuesday, April 21, that it has formed an exclusive alliance with Automated Retail Technologies (ART) to launch White Castle Crave & Go kiosks across the country. The expansion is expected to begin with 1,000 locations, according to a press release.

What and where are White Castle Crave & Go kiosks?
The kiosks are designed to give customers access to hot White Castle sliders in places where a traditional restaurant may not be nearby, including college campuses, hospitals, workplaces and transportation hubs.
“This partnership provides a fun new way for consumers to experience White Castle,” Jamie Richardson, White Castle’s chief marketing officer, said in the release. “Automated retail allows us to meet consumers when cravings strike, on campuses, in hospitals and at workplaces, while delivering the hot and tasty quality that has defined our brand for more than 100 years.”
White Castle said orders from the kiosks are prepared on demand, aiming to give busy customers a quick and convenient way to grab food without waiting in line.
Automated Retail Technologies operates the Just Baked platform, which already has kiosks in high-traffic settings such as healthcare systems, colleges, corporate campuses and transit centers. White Castle said that existing network made ART a natural partner for the expansion.
“We’re proud to partner with an American icon like White Castle,” David Chessler, founder of Automated Retail Technologies, said in the release. “Together, we’re making it easier for consumers to access authentic White Castle favorites in locations where traditional restaurants may not be available.”

When do White Castle kiosks launch?
White Castle said early Crave & Go installations have already launched and generated positive feedback. The company expects expansion to accelerate throughout 2026 as more locations come online.
The company, founded in 1921, operates about 340 restaurants and also sells frozen sliders in retail stores nationwide.
