Snoop Dogg is trading in his gin and juice for something a little more family-friendly this July Fourth, and he’s sharing it with customers at select Costco locations across the country.

The iconic Southern California-based hip hop artist recently launched Snoopsicle, a new sherbet popsicle from Dr. Bombay, a creamery founded by Snoop and his son, Cordell Broadus.

Here’s what you should know about Snoop Dogg's signature popsicle.

Snoop Dogg’s first popsicle

Snoopsicles, created by Snoop Dogg, come in a combo flavor of "razzed out," or raspberry, cherry, and lime sherbet. The packaging states that they’re made with real fruit juice and no artificial colors.

Each box comes with 24 bars and runs $14.99 at Costco, according to a video posted to Instagram.

An homage to Snoop’s roots

Dr. Bombay is an homage to Snoop's father, who was raised on a Mississippi dairy farm "hand-churning ice cream the old-school way," according to the company’s website. "No shortcuts, just patience, care, and real ingredients."

Years later, Snoop and Broadus opened a scoop shop in Venice, California, and distributed their fruit-forward ice creams at Walmart and 7-11.

Aside from the Snoopsicle, its first popsicle offering, Bombay serves up several other flavors, including blueberry muffin, peanut butter and jelly, strawberry cream, tropical sherbet, orange cream, caramel apple, and Long Beach fruit cart, a nod to Snoop’s hometown, about 25 miles south of Los Angeles.

"It is legacy, remixed," the company said on its website. "Creamy ice cream meets bold sherbet, nostalgia meets new energy, and every flavor is built to hit."

"Because some cravings don’t just pass,” Dr. Bombay adds, “they are part of the vibe."
