Want to get paid to drive a giant peanut? Planters is hiring

Oct. 27, 2026, 3:53 p.m. ET

How would you like to spend a year on the road in a giant peanut? Planters is hiring three people to drive its 26-foot-long NUTmobile across the country beginning in June 2027.

The positions offer college graduates a chance to travel the country, create social media content, work with local and national media and plan events while representing the Planters brand, according to a news release.

The paid roles include an annual salary, full-time benefits and meal and travel stipends. Peanutters also gain hands-on experience in marketing, public relations and communications.

Here’s what to know about the job, including what Peanutters do and how to apply.

What is the NUTmobile?

The NUTmobile is a 26-foot-long peanut-shaped vehicle that serves as the centerpiece of Planters' traveling marketing program.

Peanutters take the vehicle to sporting events, festivals, college campuses and community gatherings, where they represent the brand, connect with consumers and create social media content.

The 2026 class traveled to 41 states and met more than 160,000 people, Planters said.

How to apply to become a Peanutter

Planters is looking for college graduates who are engaging storytellers, confident communicators and skilled social media content creators.

Candidates must submit a resume and a short, creative video explaining what they would bring to the job. Interested applicants can apply at BeAPeanutter.com.

Applicants should be comfortable with extensive travel, public appearances and media interviews. The Hormel Foods Corp.-owned brand also encourages candidates to show their creativity and sense of humor in their application videos.

Those interested must submit a resume and short video through BeAPeanutter.com by Nov. 1. The new class is scheduled to begin traveling in June 2027.

What to expect as a Peanutter

Driving a giant peanut is only part of the job. Peanutters must bring the Planters brand to life at stops across the country.

According to Planters, their duties include:

  • Driving the NUTmobile to events and destinations nationwide.
  • Planning and executing brand events and public appearances.
  • Creating social media content.
  • Connecting with consumers and working with local and national media.
