Greta CrossThe sock brand Bombas is expanding its horizons by opening three brick-and-mortar stores this fall – the first physical locations for the brand.
Founded in 2013 by Randy Goldberg and David Heath, Bombas is known for its high-quality, and often higher priced, socks. Bombas socks for adults and children, ranging from ankle and calf socks to no shows and knee highs. In recent years, the brand has expanded its merchandise to undergarments and slippers, too.
Bombas said it continues to see success in the online market, but about 65% of shoppers purchase socks in person, according to a company statement provided to USA TODAY.
In addition to the new locations, Bombas has expanded its retail partnerships and will be selling merchandise in Target and Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) stores starting in November, the statement outlined. The brand had previously partnered with wholesale entities like Dick's Sporting Goods and Dillard's to offer its products in stores.

Where are Bombas stores opening?
Bombas is opening three physical locations this year:
- West Village at 345 Bleecker St. in New York City
- Town Center at 6000 Glades Road in Boca Raton, Florida
- The Domain at 11410 Century Oaks Terrace in Austin, Texas
When are Bombas stores opening?
The New York City location held its grand opening on Oct. 17. The Florida location will open at the end of October and the Texas location will open mid-November, according to a Bombas statement.
What will Bombas brick-and-mortars sell?
In addition to the obvious (socks), the stores will also offer Bombas footwear, underwear, bralettes and t-shirts, according to a Bombas statement.
Target and DSW to soon sell Bombas
Bombas products will be available at Target and DSW starting in November. Target will only carry Bombas socks and DSW will sell socks, slippers, slides and outdoor style shoes, according to the Bombas statement.
