Good news — Florida is among the states seeing new Trader Joe's locations pop up soon. Here's what to know.
What is Trader Joe's?

Trader Joe's might as well be considered the "wild west" of grocery stores. You're going in with a set list of items for tonight's dinner, and you're leaving with cannoli dip, tiny avocados and a frozen seafood boil.
It is a California-based grocery chain known for its unique selection of private-label products, which tend to be more affordable than those found in regular grocery stores.

"To earn a spot on our shelves, each product is submitted to a rigorous tasting panel process, in which every aspect of quality is investigated in context of the price we can offer."

According to The Kitchn, both stores are owned by members of the Albrecht Family. Aldi stores in the U.S. are owned by Aldi Süd, while Trader Joe's is owned by Aldi Nord, a separate company that acquired it in 1979.
