Donald Trump's message on Easter Sunday 2026 was anything but traditional, dropping an expletive-laced ultimatum to Iran, escalating into a warning of "hell," and "Praise be to Allah."

Here's what he said on the Truth Social platform.

On Sunday, the White House released an Easter message stating that Trump "stands as a fierce defender of the Christian faith" and "Under his leadership, the U.S. is once again a beacon of religious liberty — honoring the biblical values and heritage that built our nation." Adding, "On this sacred Easter Sunday, we are reminded that faith is not a private matter to be silenced by government — but a foundational strength of our Republic."

However, Trump's message Easter Sunday moring took a different tone as he blasted Iran in a expletive-laden threat to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or "you’ll be living in Hell" by Tuesday 8 p.m.

Trump wrote in his Truth Social media post, "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F------ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah."

Trump's post got a social media reply from the Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on X, albeit blaming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for misleading Trump, "Your reckless moves are dragging the United States into a living HELL for every single family, and our whole region is going to burn because you insist on following Netanyahu’s commands. Make no mistake: You won’t gain anything through war crimes."

US and Israeli strikes intensified over the weekend and into Sunday night, although there has been a new ceasefire proposal organized by intermediaries announced on Monday morning, that involves an initial ceasefire and negotiations for a complete end to the war, according to reports.

The US and Iran have not responded to the latest proposal as of yet, noting Iran dismissed a previous U.S. ceasefire deal.
