Mamdani seemingly trolls Ramaswamy after Knicks win

The New York Knicks are going to the NBA Finals, and New Yorkers are overjoyed — including Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

After the win, Mamdani took to X to do some trolling, as some might say.

The Knicks, who defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 130-93 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, finished a 4-0 series sweep.

Afterward, Mamdani, on both his personal and official account, retweeted a post by Ohio gubernatorial hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy that included a photo of him and his wife, Apoorva Ramaswamy. The caption read, "Date night in Cleveland. Let's go Cavs ... all the way back!"

After the retweet, New Yorkers went wild in the comments, calling out the mayor for poking fun at Ramaswamy.

"The first time I think maybe ever that I've been legitimately impressed by a politicians sense of humour lol," one posted about the retweet.

Wrote another on X: "I cannot stop laughing at this. It's so perfect. In every way."

In another post, Mamdani tagged NYC Sanitation and wrote: "I'd like to report a sweep."

The department wrote back: "CLEAN UP IN CLEVELAND!!"

Last year, it was reported that a billboard sprung up in Times Square calling for New Yorkers to leave the city because of Mamdani.

"Worried About Zohran? Ohio Is Waiting For You," read the ad, paid for by a Super PAC for Ramaswamy, according to Fox Business at the time.
