A former TV soap opera star faces charges stemming from a DUI arrest in a North Naples shopping center.

Colleen Zenk, 73, of North Naples was charged with DUI resulting in damage to property or a vehicle belonging to another person and DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher, court records said.

Certain court records for Zenk were marked "SECURED" and unavailable to read, including her driving record. Also, the Collier County Sheriff's Office declined to release to the Naples Daily News car camera footage mentioned in an arrest report because, it said, the case is an active criminal investigation.

Zenk's next court appearance is a pre-trial, set for July 29 in Collier County Circuit Court. Zenk has pleaded not guilty and her attorney, Daniel M. Cavanugh, was unavailable for comment July 2.

What CCSO report said

A Collier sheriff's deputy said he arrived at the Tommy Bahama store, 9115 Strada Place, No. 5100, in Mercato, around 7:30 p.m. May 15. A woman told the deputy she observed Zenk backing out of a handicap spot in front of Tommy Bahama, records show.

Zenk's vehicle crashed into another vehicle next and began to leave the scene when the witness said she was able to stop Zenk a few feet down the road.

Colleen Zenk, 73, of North Naples was arrested May 15, 2026, and charged with DUI resulting in damage to property or a vehicle belonging to another person and DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher. Zenk co-starred on the CBS daytime soap "As the World Turns."

The witness told the deputy that "Colleen was stumbling when she exited her vehicle," records said.

The deputy asked Zenk where she was before the crash, and she told him Bar Tulia "and that she had two wine cups while there," court records said. Zenk agreed to field sobriety tests and struggled to retain her balance for one of them, the deputy reported.

Zenk failed other sobriety tests so the deputy said he arrested her. Zenk also failed two breath samples, with the first one registered a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.206% and the second was 0.192%.

In Florida, for drivers 21 and older, 0.08% BAC is the legal limit for driving under the influence.

Collier County court records show Zenk was arrested in 2017 on suspicion of DUI-first offense and was sentenced to one year probation and a suspended driver's license, followed by six months with a breathalyzer device installed in her car.

Zenk also was arrested on a DUI charge in 2010 in Connecticut, People magazine reported. Police there reported they observed Zenk driving erratically and crossed into an oncoming lane, resulting in DUI-related charges and an improper lane usage charge, the magazine said.
