The Ohio College Republican Federation will gather community members Sept. 14 at Coffman Park Pavilion, 5200 Emerald Pkwy., in Dublin to honor the memory of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.

The conservative leader was shot and killed Sept. 10 at a Utah speaking event.

Attendees are asked to gather at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 14 for the Dublin vigil; the program will begin at 7:15.

Speakers are yet to be announced for the Sunday event, according to a Sept. 11 Twitter post from the statewide organization that promotes educational and career opportunities for Republican students.

Candles will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

Authorities announced they had taken the suspected killer into custody Friday, Sept. 12, two days after the shooting.

A family member told authorities 22-year-old Tyler Robinson "confessed to them or implied that he committed the incident," according to reporting from USA Today.
