Man steals Star Wars Legos to buy cocaine

A New Jersey man tried to smuggle 12 Lego Star Wars sets from a Florida Toys “R” Us this week. Shannon Kirkley was planning to sell the Legos for cash to buy cocaine, Tampa Bay Times reports.

And, that wasn’t the first time.

Deputies knew about Kirkley before the theft because of reports he’d been stealing the toys in other Florida and New Jersey stores.

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office said he stole thousands of dollars worth of Star Wars Lego’s just from the Wesley Chapel Toys “R” Us in Florida.

Kirkley is charged with theft, resisting arrest and possession of cocaine.
