Authorities investigating the Brown University shooting have released new images of a person of interest as a manhunt continues.

On Dec. 13, a perpetrator opened fire in a Brown University classroom in Rhode Island, killing two and injuring nine others.

Despite officials initially detaining a person of interest — who was later freed — the search for the suspected shooter has stretched into its fourth day as of Dec. 16.

Officials on Dec. 15 released new images and videos of an "unknown suspect." The FBI also announced that it is offering a reward of $50,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of that person.

"We want to see the individual that pulled the trigger on these young kids apprehended, identified and brought to justice," Rhode Island Gov. Daniel McKee told reporters. "We want to make sure that all Rhode Islanders know that everything that is physically possible is being done."

Police are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect in connection with the shooting at Brown University.

New photos and videos released by officials show the suspect walking around neighborhoods in Providence.

The person of interest is described as a male, approximately 5'8" with a stocky build, according to the FBI. He appears to be wearing a black face mask, hat and gloves.

"Anything Rhode Island authorities need from this FBI, we will be there," FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X.

"While we mourn the devastating loss of the victims and those who are critically injured, the FBI and its partners are dedicated to honoring their memory through a meticulous investigation,” said Ted Docks, special agent in charge of FBI Boston, at a news conference.

Aspiring neurosurgeon, campus leader killed in shooting

The two students who were killed in the mass shooting have been identified as Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov and Ella Cook.

The U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan identified Umurzokov as one of the victims killed in the attack. Virginia State Senator Ghazala Hashmi wrote on Facebook that Umurzokov was a freshman at Brown who recently graduated from Midlothian High School in Chesterfield, Virginia.

Umurzokov "had big dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon and helping people," according to a GoFundMe account set up by a family member. "He was incredibly kind, funny, and smart. He continues to be my family’s biggest role model in all aspects."

The Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama, announced that Cook, one of its parishioners, was killed in the shooting.

Rev. Craig Smalley said in livestreamed remarks that Cook was a "bright light" and "incredibly grounded and generous and faithful."

Cook was also the vice president of the Brown Republicans. Her death inspired tributes from several prominent Republicans, including Vice President JD Vance and Alabama Sens. Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville.
