See moment Navy jets collide at air show, crew parachutes to ground
The intense moment two Navy jets collided midair at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in southwestern Idaho was captured on video. Four crew members were forced to eject from the aircrafts, according to authorities, and landed safely.
The crash occurred on Sunday, May 17, at around 12:10 p.m. local time during the Gunfighter Skies Air Show, 2 miles away from the base, according to the base's Facebook.
The footage shows the moment the jets, two E/A-18G "Vikings" Growlers, crashed midair as they were performing an aerial demonstration at the show. The air crew is seen ejecting from the crafts and parachuting to the ground.
"All four of the air crew successfully ejected, and they are being evaluated by medical personnel," the Air Force base said, USA TODAY previously reported.

Show cancelled after collision
The show was canceled after the jets collided, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
At about 1:18 p.m. local time, the Mountain Home Police Department said that the event had been officially canceled for the remainder of the day. Police advised the public not to travel to or attempt to access the base "as a spectator, as the event will no longer be taking place."

In an update shortly before 3 p.m. local time, the Mountain Home Air Force Base said the incident scene had been secured, and event attendees were now allowed to exit the base. The base had previously asked attendees at the base to remain in the area to allow first responders to secure the scene.
