WASHINGTON, June 24 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump's nominee to become the top U.S. general in Europe says he believes Ukraine could prevail against Russia's more than three-year-old invasion.

U.S. Vice Admiral Charles Cooper II, nominated to be admiral and Commander of United States Central Command, and U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Alexus Grynkewich, nominated to be commander of United States European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe testify before a Senate Armed Services Committee confirmation hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., U.S., June 24, 2025.
