How to watch Trump speaking at Turning Point event in Phoenix, Arizona
President Donald Trump is speaking at a Turning Point USA event on April 17.
The “Build the Red Wall” event is part of Turning Point’s strategy to boost Republicans in the 2026 midterms, when every seat in the U.S. House is on the ballot and key races for governor and Senate are playing out in states across the nation.
Turning Point was founded by conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in September. Erika Kirk, his wife who took over as Turning Point USA CEO and chair, will also speak at the event along with other Republican candidates and lawmakers.
Here is what you need to know about the event:

Why is Trump in Phoenix, Arizona?
Trump is speaking at a Turning Point USA event. He was in Las Vegas at a roundtable on Tax Day.
Who else will speak at the Turning Point USA event with Trump?
To help the president build the so-called "Red Wall," his pick for Arizona governor, Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Arizona, will warm up the crowd before Trump takes the stage.
So will red district Reps. Paul Gosar, Eli Crane and Abe Hamadeh, all R-Arizona.
Even Rep. Juan Ciscomani, R-Arizona, who is running for reelection in a southern Arizona swing district, will make a rare appearance at the Trump rally. Ciscomani beat his Democratic opponent by fewer than 11,000 votes in 2024, which was the narrowest margin of victory for an Arizona House lawmaker that year.
The only U.S. House Republican who is not on the lineup is Rep. David Schweikert, R-Arizona, who narrowly held onto his battleground Scottsdale-area congressional seat in 2024 but gave it up to run against Biggs for governor.
What is the 'Red Wall'?
Turning Point will boost Republican candidates in the so-called Red Wall states of Arizona, New Hampshire and Nevada.
Turning Point USA CEO and Chair Erika Kirk laid out the plan during her organization's “AmericaFest” conference in downtown Phoenix in December.
“We are locked in and mission-focused for both 2026 and 2028. We're investing in states, and not just in races,” Erika Kirk said.
All three Red Wall locations are purple states where elections between Republicans and Democrats can come down to the wire. Arizona is home to two of the most hotly contested House seats in America, while New Hampshire has a Senate battle and all three states have governors up for reelection.
