  • President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a rally for Republicans in Daytona Beach on October 30.
  • This will be Trump's fourth political visit to Daytona Beach, a city in a county he has won by increasing margins.
  • While his national approval rating has declined, Trump's popularity remains strong in Florida.

One week after campaigning in southwest Florida, President Donald Trump will rally Republicans in Daytona Beach on Oct. 30.

The Republican National Committee announced the event just hours after Trump spoke to a near-capacity crowd at Florida Gulf Coast University's Alico Arena in Fort Myers.

Daytona Beach is familiar ground to the president. Trump has visited the city three other times in his political career, including Aug. 3, 2016, at the Ocean Center, Feb. 16, 2020, at the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, and again at the Daytona race on Feb. 16, 2025.

And he has won the Volusia County vote in each of his three presidential elections by greater margins each time, including 60.2% in 2024. While his national approval rating is bottoming out amid concerns about affordability, the Iran war and corruption, Trump remains above water in Florida.

Daytona Trump event: When, where, how to get tickets?

The venue of the Daytona Beach event is unknown. It's scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. The president is expected to take the stage at 7 p.m.

People who want to attend can RSVP here.

What did President Trump say in Fort Myers?

In Fort Myers, Trump brought the top two Republicans on the Florida midterm election ticket, Rep. Byron Donalds and Sen. Ashley Moody, to the stage.

Donalds, of Naples, is in a hotly contested race for governor with Democrat David Jolly, while Moody is seeking election after having been appointed to the Senate seat in 2025. Democrat Angie Nixon is challenging Moody.

Trump spoke of Donalds: "He will be one of your greatest governors in history, and he's a special person and a nice person with an unbelievable wife and family."

The president also used time to attack the opponents of Donalds and Moody.

"Nixon is a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialist of America," Trump said. "Angie Nixon would be the lead sponsor of a bill to let schools turn children, all of them, transgender if they want to without running."
