Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola are locked in a bitterly tight race for a U.S. Senate seat in Alaska, which is too close to call as of early Nov. 4.

Peltola, a former U.S. representative and the first Alaska Native elected to Congress, narrowly leads Sullivan just hours after polls closed in the state.

With more than 94% of the vote in as of 10 a.m. ET, Peltola held 48.2% of the vote while Sullivan trailed with 47.9%, per the Associated Press.

The race has been the subject of national attention over two "Dan Sullivans" on the ballot. After Republican concerns that a second Dan Sullivan was planted to pull away votes from the incumbent, the Justice Department sent letters to groups informing them of an investigation into the issue.

Here's a look at live results in the Alaska U.S. Senate race.
