Diddy's prison sentence is revealed

The judge overseeing Sean "Diddy" Combs' criminal case has determined the mogul's prison sentence.

Combs, 55, will be incarcerated for 50 months, roughly four years, for the two prostitution counts of which he was convicted in July, Judge Arun Subramanian revealed during a hearing in Manhattan federal court this afternoon.

The prison sentence falls short of the 11 years that prosecutors were seeking for Combs, whom they'd accused of leading a "criminal enterprise" that involved sex trafficking, kidnapping, drug offenses and forced labor, among other crimes.

Fifty months is longer than the 14 months that Combs' legal team had requested, with letters of support from his mother, son, friends and ex-partners seeking "leniency" from the judge.

Combs has been behind bars at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center for over a year, since his September 2024 arrest. In letters submitted to Subramanian earlier this week, the Bad Boy Records founder was described as "motivational" by at least two of his fellow cellmates, including an inmate who sleeps "right across" from him.

Meanwhile, his alleged victims and those who testified against him during the two-month trial have expressed fear over his release. Casandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine wrote to the judge that she dreads "swift retribution toward me and others who spoke up about his abuse at trial," while others said justice would only come with a sentence that reflects "the full measure of harm that he has caused."
