Raleigh, or Big Dumper as he'd been nicknamed, earned a WAR of 8. It was a remarkable season for anyone, but especially for a catcher. Raleigh was the heart and soul of the offense in a historic season for the Seattle Mariners. It makes complete sense that he's in the conversation for MVP.
