Ben Stiller first coined the phrase "Knicks in '26" earlier this year on "The Roommates Show," the popular podcast hosted by New York Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, along with co-host Matt Hillman. Now, the lifelong New York Knicks superfan has confirmed an upcoming documentary chronicling the franchise's history.
The announcement comes as Knicks fans are celebrating across New York City during the team's NBA Finals championship parade on Thursday, June 18. This marks the franchise's first title in 53 years.

Ben Stiller announces new NY Knicks documentary
On Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart's "The Roommates Show" podcast, Stiller shared that the documentary will be produced with HBO and A24, and will spotlight every era of Knicks basketball.“This team obviously, there's a culmination here of something that has been going on for a long time,” Stiller said, explaining that the current championship run is part of a much larger story he hopes to tell.Stiller has already spent part of last season documenting moments around the team, frequently spotted filming on his phone at Madison Square Garden. According to the actor and director, production will continue throughout the next year.
"I could not be more excited," Stiller added. "This is a dream project."
