See inside George Kittle’s dreamy, treehouse-inspired Nashville retreat
See how the NFL star and his wife transformed their rustic log cabin with Pottery Barn's Design Crew

- NFL star George Kittle and his wife, Claire, purchased a Nashville log cabin for their offseason retreat.
- The couple partnered with Pottery Barn's Design Crew to furnish their new vacation home.
- Their design goal was to create a peaceful and restorative space for comfort and gathering.
NFL star and San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, and his wife, Claire, might be professionally based out of the Bay Area — but during the NFL offseason, the pair enjoys trading their busy, coastal lifestyle for something a bit more slowed down in the hilled woodlands of Nashville, Tennessee.
The Kittles are far from strangers to Nashville; the couple has owned land in the area since 2020 and served as co-creators of the annual Tight End University training summit that's hosted every summer in the city alongside NFL stars like Greg Olsen and Travis Kelce (who famously brought along his fiancé, Taylor Swift, to last year's event).
But back in late 2024, the duo added to their growing real estate portfolio in the area, purchasing a rustic log cabin that they described as the "exact kind of retreat" they'd dreamed of escaping to during the NFL offseason months.
"The offseason is one of the few times of year when we can truly slow down, so creating a home that felt peaceful and restorative was really important to us," explains George Kittle and his wife, Claire, in conversation with 10BEST. "We intentionally designed the home around comfort and gathering."
With the help of Pottery Barn's Design Crew, they were able to bring their unique vision to life, while still decorating the space in a way that felt "authentic to the character of the cabin."
The home's "treehouse feel," as they described it, was the design centerpiece that influenced everything else — and translated into the cabin's earthy tones, natural wood details, and layered textures.

The sunroom
For the Kittles, the ability to connect with nature and disconnect from the usual pace of their everyday life was a huge part of this Nashville cabin's appeal. In the sunroom in particular, the expansive windows lend themself to an airy feel that immerses you in the surrounding nature, while the accompanying Pottery Barn furnishings — and in particular, their favorite Remmy Chairs — ensure it's a space you can comfortably unwind in.
"Sitting in those chairs, drinking our coffee, and looking out into the trees makes us feel like we’re in our own little hideaway."
