Supportive mom surprised with unique Mother’s Day gift and brought to tears

When Allie was 19 years old, she envisioned getting a “really delicate,” “dainty” vine tattoo laced down her spine. Fine lines, small leaves, and flowers – something feminine.

“From the beginning, my parents didn’t love the tattoo design,” shared Allie. “My mom was concerned about the tattoo being so big and questioned whether something that big was what I would want as I got older. “Think about showing that in your wedding dress,” her mom pleaded. 

As a young adult, Allie had a limited budget. She shopped around for several tattoo artists, many of whom wanted to implement their own designs or were out of her budget. When she finally settled on someone, her mom came with her when she got the tattoo.  

“My mom continued to try to talk me out of getting the tattoo up until the needle was on my skin.”  

Unfortunately, Allie’s design and desire for an elegant, tasteful tattoo was not the outcome. Through an extremely painful process in which she endured bleeding and later deep scars and a stressful experience, the tattoo had bold black lines and thick-edged flowers and was much bigger than she wanted.
