Hurt Season is a talented singer-songwriter who has succeeded in rap and hip-hop. His most recent album, MB4Everything, is his re-entry into the music space after a striking initial success, followed by difficult personal struggles. This album is a message of inspired triumph, bringing his experiences to the forefront for others to feel.

Initial Successes

Formerly, HRT SZN, as a young musician, was noticed by producer David Foster, who knew there was passion in his work. After Foster sent Snoop Dogg some of Hurt Season’s music, Snoop cosigned on him with Foster. He had been making music since he was 16, getting his start on SoundCloud, but was noticed by two considerable figures in the industry. Hurt Season had always wanted to make himself known through his creative passions, and his greatest dreams were being realized sooner than he could have imagined.

Challenges of the Past

All this sudden success proved to be overwhelming, and Hurt Season soon succumbed to previous addictions as a result. Under their pressure, he had to find his safe place in music to find a way forward and recover from these troubles while growing as a person. Having run in and out of Utah treatment centers, Hurt Season was determined to make a change.

“Life is like chocolate,” he says, “in the way that some of them suck. Finding out what I dislike helped me find myself.” He didn’t like feeling so stuck and losing his most significant chance at success, but ultimately this would not stop him from pursuing his passion.

Recovering and Overcoming

Hurt Season cleaned up and worked hard to create his independent label, Marble Bust Entertainment, to produce his newest album. He knew he could recover to the heights he had once reached; his music was what got him there in the first place. Nothing, not even his struggles, would hold him back from sharing his passionate work.

“Never knowing how to manage myself led me into pursuits of useless knowledge,” Hurt Season says, “until I knew what I was looking for in life I never knew myself.” He had learned how his struggles demonstrated where his passions lie, in self-expression through art that can change the world.

MB4Everything

Hurt Season’s newest album, MB4Everything, reflects this newly gained understanding. It combines personal experience with genuine emotion, resonating with anyone who enjoys rap and understands the struggle that went into creating this piece of art. His tastes and inspiration range from the passionate rhythm of Santana to the lyrics of XXXTentacion, creating a style reminiscent of the past but distinctly rooted in the current experience.

With this album’s release, Hurt Season is making a name for himself as he continues to express himself through his music. Drawing on the great works of the past to express his unique passion and personal struggles, he has returned to this position. Hurt Season’s MB4Everything is out now.
