Kid Laboratories is answering the call for the unique demands of modern education. The digital education company, known for its immersive, tech-focused learning experiences, announces the launch of its new offering, a virtual AI workshop for tweens. This summer, students ages 11 to 14 will explore the AI world, engaging in hands-on activities and delving into the science behind smart technologies. Also unique to its program, the AI Workshop offers what every parent needs today, such as guidelines and best practices for integrating AI technology as well as an entire lesson dedicated to the importance of fostering creativity. Every student walks away with the tech confidence necessary to succeed in today’s ever-changing world.

Kid Laboratories

Designed to be affordable and accessible, the course is open to all tweens, regardless of background, geographic location, or prior experience. This is how Kid Laboratories stays true to its mission to democratize quality education for the next generation of thinkers and leaders.

Kid Laboratories has always stood out in the digital education landscape for tackling the key concerns parents face. These include the need for practical life skills, preparation for a fast-changing future, the challenge of managing screen time, the importance of affordability, and the search for learning experiences that build direction and self-esteem. The organization’s newest course encompasses all these.

From the first session, students can dive into the fundamentals of brain development. They’ll learn how neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to change and grow, parallels how machines learn through AI. The course draws connections between how young minds develop and how AI systems are designed to demystify complex concepts and boost participants’ confidence in their cognitive abilities.

Kid Laboratories’ instructor-led course utilizes active engagement techniques to keep students present and involved. Each day, learners will transition between “student mode” and “world leader mode.” This structured approach pairs traditional note-taking and classroom behavior with moments of self-empowerment and visionary thinking. The course is designed to inspire tweens to become not only consumers of technology but creators and problem-solvers.

Interactive projects include developing personal logos using AI tools, brainstorming the next big invention, and creating digital marketing materials to promote their ideas. Students can also participate in team challenges that mimic real-world collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking.

The motivation behind this new offering stems from a growing concern. “If you walk into a middle school classroom today and ask, ‘Who here knows what AI is?’ almost every hand goes up. But then you ask them to explain it, and they’ll likely say something like, ‘It’s robots,’” says Elena Czarnowski, co-founder of Kid Laboratories. “That’s the disconnect. Kids today are digital natives, but they don’t necessarily understand the tech they’re surrounded by. That’s exactly why we created this course. We wanted to bridge the gap between familiarity and true understanding.”

Elena Czarnowski

Kid Laboratories was born from a personal and professional mission to support learners during their formative years. With a degree in Economics and over 15 years in tech leadership roles at renowned companies, Czarnowski pivoted to education out of a desire to inspire young minds. She earned her master’s degree in Mathematics Education and became a math teacher. Czarnowski found her true calling when she noticed the middle-grade learners, especially aged 11 to 14, lacked access to meaningful, personalized, tech-integrated education.

The visionary founded Kid Laboratories in 2023 with the goal of filling that gap. Together with her husband Jim, an experienced mechanical engineer and industry innovator, the company has since become a trusted name in next-generation learning.

With that same spirit, Kid Laboratories offers more than just AI education. It has built enriching virtual programs that meet the intellectual and emotional needs of tweens. The Moneywi$e course introduces financial literacy in a relatable and fun way, teaching students smart spending habits, the basics of entrepreneurship, and more.

Goal Getter is another comprehensive course. It delves into character development and future planning, helping kids identify their strengths, manage their mindset, and map out academic and life goals. Originally created to honor Czarnowski’s late daughter and empower young girls, Goal Getter has grown into a gender-inclusive program that nurtures resilience and ambition in every student.

In addition to instructor-led camps, Kid Laboratories offers the Smart Summer Challenge. It’s a low-cost, high-impact digital series packed with brain-boosting activities that keep students intellectually engaged throughout the summer. Families receive 10 weeks of self-paced challenges focused on leadership, tech skills, and creative expression, making it an ideal supplement to more structured courses or a standalone solution for summer learning.

Following the launch of its newest AI course, Kid Laboratories looks forward to continuing its mission of providing accessible, empowering, and forward-thinking education to every child, everywhere. Czarnowski remarks: “Our programs do more than fill education gaps. They ignite potential, nurture purpose, and inspire students to see themselves as capable, thoughtful contributors to the world.”
