The Pac-12 is back! See who is in re-imagined conference

The Pac-12 is back!

Well, sort of.

The Pac-12 was reduced to only Washington State and Oregon State the past two seasons after teams dispersed into the Big Ten, Big 12 and ACC. But the Conference of Champions is returning, even if most of the champions aren't.

Starting in the 2026-27 college sports calendar, the new-look Pac-12 has reawakened. They even have a new logo which was unveiled April 27. (spoiler: it looks a lot like the old one).

Texas State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Boise State, Colorado State, Utah State are full members. Gonzaga is joining for all sports besides football. Dallas Baptist will also be in the conference for baseball only, along with Northern Illinois for wrestling and Southern Utah for women's gymnastics.

The conference which will have eight football programs in 2026, signed a five-year deal with USA Sports, the new sports branding for USA Network.

  • Texas State (Sun Belt)
  • Fresno State (Mountain West)
  • San Diego State (Mountain West)
  • Boise State (Mountain West)
  • Colorado State (Mountain West)
  • Utah State (Mountain West)
  • Gonzaga (WCC, all sports but football)
  • Dallas Baptist (Conference USA, baseball only)
  • Northern Illinois (Mid-American, wrestling only)
  • Southern Utah (WAC, gymnastics only)

Where are the old Pac-12 schools?

  • Big Ten: Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington
  • ACC: Cal, Stanford
  • Big 12: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Utah

When does new Pac-12 start?

The conference officially begins its college football season Sept. 5, 2026. The Pac-12 begins conference play in Week 5.
