With the 2025-26 men's college basketball season set to wrap after Michigan and UConn's matchup in the championship game of the 2026 Men's NCAA Tournament on Monday, April 6, much of the college sports world will shift its attention to baseball.

Even with the College World Series still two months away, the start of the NCAA Tournament is rapidly approaching as teams across the country try to position themselves for their sport's biggest event.

In the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, the top three remains intact, with UCLA at No. 1, Texas at No. 2 and Georgia Tech at No. 3.

Beyond that, though, there was some notable movement. No. 8 Mississippi State dropped four spots after being swept by No. 4 Georgia. No. 11 Coastal Carolina moved up seven spots during a hot streak in which it has won 10 of its past 11 games. After winning 16 of its past 20 games, UCF rocketed up 11 spots to No. 16.
