And just like that, after four frenetic days of action, the eight-team field for the 2026 Women's College World Series is down to its final four participants.

The quest for the NCAA softball championship continues on Monday, June 1 with a pair of semifinal matchups — No. 2 national seed Texas against No. 7 Tennessee and No. 1 Alabama against No. 11 Texas Tech.

The Longhorns, the reigning national champions, will need to beat the Lady Vols in back-to-back games to avoid elimination while the Red Raiders will need to do the same against the top-ranked Crimson Tide.

Texas and Tennessee have already met this tournament, with the Lady Vols opening up WCWS play with a 6-3 victory against the Longhorns, fueled by a three-run homer from Elsa Morrison. Alabama has looked every part of a No. 1 overall seed thus far in the NCAA tournament, with a 7-0 record in the postseason. That perfect mark will face a stiff test against Texas Tech, which has two of the best pitchers in college softball in NiJaree Canady and Kaitlyn Terry.

The winners of the semifinal matchups will square off in the WCWS championship series, a best-of-three affair that's scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 3.
