St. Louis will redesign new Billiken mascot

That didn't take long.

St. Louis University's newly redesigned Billiken mascot sent shivers down many a spine, and although the masked creature itself joked about the reaction (see below), it was ultimately scrapped:

University president Fred Pestello tweeted a video of himself at the St. Louis Zoo as he tried to find new traits for the next version of the mascot - it was his way of telling the world a redesign would be coming:

And the Billiken approved:

By the way, have you ever wondered what a Billiken is?

"The Billiken is a mythical good-luck figure who represents 'things as they ought to be,'" says St. Louis's site.
