Masters Tournament 2026

2026 Masters Tournament odds: Top sleeper picks for Augusta National this week

April 8, 2026, 8:02 a.m. ET

A total of 56 different golfers have won the Masters since it debuted in 1934. Will another first-time winner don the green jacket in 2026?

The betting odds are favoring a trio of previous winners. Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy are expected to be among the top contenders for the tournament title, along with LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau, who has yet to add a green jacket to his collection.

That said, there are plenty of other golfers who could ultimately win the event. Several of the world's top 10 golfers, according to the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), have odds of 20-1 or longer to earn a green jacket. Those athletes could emerge as solid value picks to earn a win in the tournament.

Here's a look at the top sleepers to win the 2026 Masters:

2026 Masters Tournament: Best sleeper picks, values

Matt Fitzpatrick (+2200)

Only one player has averaged more strokes gained from tee to green (SG:T2G) than Fitzpatrick this season. That would be Rory McIlroy, who ranks as the World's No. 2 golfer and won the Masters last year.

Fitzpatrick could easily win his first green jacket if he continues to thrive on approach. He ranks seventh overall on the PGA Tour in strokes gained on approach (SG:APP) and seventh in greens in regulation percentage. He also has a decade of experience at Augusta, which – coupled with his strong 2026 form that includes a win at the Valspar Championship and a runner-up finish at The Players Championship – should make him a big-time contender this week.

Collin Morikawa (+3000)

Morikawa is a two-time major winner and has logged three top-10 finishes in his six previous appearances at the Masters, so he decidedly falls more into the category of being a value pick than a sleeper.

Morikawa is leading the PGA Tour in SG:APP, is ranked third in greens in regulation percentage and has a consistent, butter fade that allows him to be accurate off the tee. He profiles very similarly to Fitzpatrick, which makes Morikawa a potential bargain at his slightly longer odds.

There is just one issue with Morikawa. He is dealing with a back injury that caused him to withdraw from The Players Championship after one hole and opt out of the Texas Open, his final scheduled tune-up before the Masters. If the 29-year-old isn't fully healthy, it will be tough for him to contend. And even if he is, he may need to shake off some rust after being out of action for nearly a month.

Chris Gotterup (+4500)

Gotterup got off to a hot start during the 2026 PGA Tour campaign, winning two of his first three starts and logging five top-20 finishes at his eight events to date. The 26-year-old has a great, tee-to-green game – which is increasingly the biggest key to winning at Augusta – as he ranks fourth overall in driving distance and 30th in strokes gained: approach (SG:APP).

While Gotterup is in great form, it's worth noting he will be appearing in his first Masters in 2026. Only three players have ever won in their first appearance at the event, with the most recent being Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979.

Si Woo Kim (+5000)

Kim is a consistently competitive golfer who has made the cut at all nine of his events this season and has logged four top-10 finishes. He ranks fourth on the PGA Tour in SG:T2G thanks to his accuracy and is top overall in average proximity to the hole, which could position him for shorter-distance putts at Augusta.

Of course, Kim's putter is often his bugaboo, and he has never finished better than T-12 at the Masters in eight previous appearances. Still, it would hardly be a surprise to see him among those contending for a green jacket come Sunday.

Akshay Bhatia (+5500)

Bhatia is yet another approach maven who could emerge as a contender at the Masters. He ranks eighth on the PGA Tour in SG:APP and has also made nearly 90% of his total putts from within 10 feet, which ranks 26th on Tour and has helped him log five consecutive top-20 finishes entering the Masters.

Bhatia hasn't yet enjoyed high-end success at the Masters – he finished T-35 at his debut in 2024 before logging a T-42 in 2025 – but his overall accuracy should allow him to avoid critical mistakes and stay in contention in his third appearance at Augusta.
