PGA Championship cut line tracker: Bryson DeChambeau misses the weekend

Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau were searching for answers with the 2026 PGA Championship starting to show its teeth.

The two rivals, and two of golf's biggest stars, were in danger of missing the projected cut line at the sport's second major of the year as Round 2 action got underway at Aronimink Golf Club on Friday, May 15.

After shooting an opening round 4-over 74, McIlroy righthed the ship almost immediately Friday with birdies on two of the first four holes. He remained steady the rest of the round, finishing with a 3-under 70 and putting him +1 for the tournament – a solid three strokes above the cut line.

DeChambeau and several other notable stars were not so lucky. While the LIV Golf star had a much cleaner second round, it was nowhere near enough to vault him above the cut and into weekend play. DeChambeau ended his two rounds at the PGA Championship shooting a combined 7 over par.

The cut line came in at +4 upon the conclusion of the second round of the 2026 PGA Championship, based on the scores of the top 70 golfers (and ties) on the current leaderboard. All golfers with a score of +4 or better have made it to the weekend at Aronimink Golf Club.
