The Dodgers (-250) have Ohtani on the bump, and that's not as sure of a thing as one might think. L.A. is just 2-4 in 6 starts with Ohtani as a starting pitcher. It's not his fault, but rather due mostly to a lack of offensive support. In fact, the LA offense has provided just 2 total runs of support in his past 3 starts, including a 3-0 loss in San Francisco on April 22.

You cannot risk 2 1/2 times your potential return, and, if anything, backing the Giants (+200) is a bit tempting considering their surprising dominance so far in this series.

AVOID.

Run line/Against the spread

DODGERS -1.5 (-118) is a very risky play, but it's a much better value laying the run and a half. LA doesn't have a win since last Friday, but it's 4 wins since May 3 have been by 2 or more runs, with an average margin of victory of 5 runs per game (RPG).
