Knicks fans celebrate breakthrough NBA championship in New York: See the reactions
James H. WilliamsNew York will spend the weekend celebrating the Knicks’ first NBA championship in 53 years.
The Knicks used another late rally in the fourth quarter to put away the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, June 13, and finished the series in five games.
“Hey, New York, sorry it took so long,” Knicks owner James Dolan said. “I hope it won't take that long again.”

New York then rallied from 29 points down to win Game 4 at Madison Square Garden in the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history. The team rallied after trailing by as many as 16 points in Game 5 on Saturday.
The Knicks were well represented at the Frost Bank Center with plenty of fans and celebrities making the trip to Texas.
