Battle 4 Atlantis 2025: Bracket, teams, schedule for college basketball tournament

Feast Week continues in The Bahamas with one of men's college basketball's more iconic early-season, multi-team events.

For the 14th consecutive season, the Marriott Bonvoy Battle 4 Atlantis tournament will draw the attention of college basketball sickos over the Thanksgiving Holiday to watch eight teams travel down to the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in The Bahamas and find out what type of team they will be this season over the three-day event.

Competition in the Caribbean gets underway on Wednesday, Nov. 24 at noon ET with Western Kentucky taking on No. 23 Vanderbilt, and runs through Friday, Nov. 28 with the championship game.

The field is a bit down in talent this season, as six of the eight spots in the bracket are taken up by mid-major programs, including Saint Mary's. The reason for this is similar to the reason why the Maui Invitational doesn't have many "brand names" compared to past years: teams paying an exit fee from other multi-team events to play in the NIL-driven Players Era Festival in Las Vegas.

Nonetheless, the charm and beauty of Battle 4 Atlantis should still deliver some high-quality basketball in the intimate setting that is the Imperial Arena at Atlantis Paradise Island, perhaps even with some fireworks and buzzer-beaters.

When is the Battle 4 Atlantis 2025?

The men's Battle 4 Atlantis starts on Wednesday, Nov. 26 and runs through Friday, Nov. 28 in The Bahamas. The Battle 4 Atlantis semifinal games will take place on Thanksgiving Day, with the championship game scheduled for Black Friday at 1 p.m. ET.

As the name suggests, the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament takes place inside the Imperial Arena at Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas.

Like most multi-team events, the Battle 4 Atlantis is an eight-team field. The 2025 Battle 4 Atlantis bracket is comprised of just two Power Four Conference teams this year — a drastic change from past fields due to the evolution of the Players Era Festival — in Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. It does include one of the top mid-major programs in the country in Saint Mary's out of the West Coast Conference.

Vanderbilt is the lone team competing in The Bahamas this week that was ranked in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. Saint Mary's is the next closest ranked team among the field, as the Gaels came in as the unofficial No. 27-ranked team in the country after receiving 30 votes in the Nov. 24 Coaches Poll.
