WATCH: Patriots-Texans have chaotic turnover-filled playoff game
Nick BrinkerhoffYou get a turnover, you get a turnover and, yes, even you get a turnover.
The Oprah-inspired divisional round playoff game between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans has seen no shortage of generosity. By the five-minute mark of the third quarter, both teams combined for eight turnovers in the contest at Gillette Stadium.
Football follies or great defense, that is the question.
C.J. Stroud's four interceptions in the first half are certainly the headline, but don't sleep on the other instances of poor ball security in New England.
In other words, neither team really looks like a playoff-caliber club, even if they are. The winner will advance to take on the Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game, who will be starting Jarrett Stidham at quarterback after a season-ending ankle injury to Bo Nix.
Meanwhile, get the turnovers while they're hot. Denver's defense might be licking its chops at the thought of this next weekend.
