NFL may investigate Steelers’ Makai Lemon mishap, per report
While the Pittsburgh Steelers would like to forget their part in the ugly Makai Lemon situation from the 2026 NFL Draft, the National Football League may not be letting them off the hook so easily, at least according to a new report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
On Saturday, Florio revealed that the league could look into the Steelers' phone call with Lemon, which made it difficult for the Philadelphia Eagles to get in contact with him.
Additionally, former Eagles executive Jake Rosenberg also pointed out that the Steelers could have been in violation of the rule in which teams are allowed to contact representatives of draft prospects, as long as these calls do not interfere with talks between a player and the team on the clock.
Hopefully, the league will let the Steelers go with a slap on the wrist, considering that the Eagles were able to draft their preferred target, and Pittsburgh got an offensive tackle that was reportedly high on the draft board.
