Full men's, women's Olympic soccer schedule revealed for 2028 LA Games
Seth VertelneyThe International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced the full schedule for the men's and women's soccer competition at the 2028 Summer Olympics.
The Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, but the soccer competition will be spread out across the country.
In addition to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, where the final will be held, six more MLS venues will host matches:
- New York Stadium (aka Etihad Park) – Future home of New York City FC
- Columbus Stadium (aka ScottsMiracle-Gro Field) – Home of the Columbus Crew
- Nashville Stadium (aka Geodis Park) – Home of Nashville SC
- St. Louis Stadium (aka Energizer Park) – Home of St. Louis City
- San Jose Stadium (aka PayPal Park) – Home of the San Jose Earthquakes and Bay FC
- San Diego Stadium (aka Snapdragon Stadium) – Home of San Diego FC and San Diego Wave
For the first time, 16 women's teams will participate, up from 12 at the last Olympics. On the men's side, the number of teams has been reduced from 16 to 12.
The first tickets for all LA28 events will go on sale in April. Registration for the LA28 ticket draw is open now through Wednesday, March 18. More information can be found on LA28’s ticketing page.
In order to provide teams with more rest time, the soccer competition will kick off on July 10 – four days before the opening ceremony. The men's gold medal game will be July 28 and the women's title game will be July 29.
