Olympian Alysa Liu makes Met Gala debut in Louis Vuitton gown
Cydney HendersonMore than two months after Alysa Liu captured two gold medals and America's hearts at the 2026 Winter Olympics, the figure skater is back in the spotlight on the biggest stage in fashion at the 2026 Met Gala.
Hours after announcing a new partnership with Louis Vuitton, Liu arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in a custom Louis Vuitton gown that featured layers of burgundy ruffles. She complemented her look with matching heels, a diamond choker with a burgundy pendant and her signature blond-and-brown halo hairdo.
"I'm so honored to be able to be part of something so artistic," said Liu, Louis Vuitton's newest House Ambassador. "I'm just glad that I'm able to connect with people of all kinds ... In my figure skating, I have to perform and connect with people... I think that life is all about connection and bringing people together. I'm able to share my creative and continue to uplift everybody else."
