PGA Championship 2025 payout: How much Scottie Scheffler earned with major victory

Scottie Scheffler just became $3.4 million richer.

The No. 1-ranked golfer in the world emerged the winner of the 2025 PGA Championship as he overcame a slow start in the final round at Quail Hollow club for a comfortable victory. In his third career major win, Scheffler finished 11-under-par while three golfers were in second place at 6-under-par.

It's another record for the winner of the second major of the season as the purse continues to grow for the PGA Championship. It was a record $19 million purse for this year's event, up from the $18.5 million pool for 2024. Last year's winner, Xander Schauffele, got $3.3 million, the second year the golfer in first place received more than $3 million. Now with his first PGA Championship, Scheffler now gets to say he has won the most money in the event's history.
