La Liga's season resumes on Friday as Rayo Vallecano hosts Elche in a relegation clash at Estadio de Vallecas, with just three points separating the two sides in the table.

Rayo sits in 14th with 32 points, four above the drop zone, and has lost just twice in 14 home league games this season, going unbeaten in its last four.

Iñigo Pérez's side is also still active in the Conference League, having advanced to the quarterfinals, though it enters this fixture winless in three straight league matches after a 1-0 defeat to Barcelona last time out.

Meanwhile, Elche is 17th with 29 points, one point above the bottom three. It arrives on the back of a 2-1 home win over Mallorca before the international break, the club's first victory of 2026. That victory ended a 12-match winless run and lifted Elche out of the relegation zone.

The visitors have not won any of their 14 away games this season and have lost their last six road trips in La Liga, while Rayo has won each of the last three home meetings with Elche.
