One of the best storylines at the 2026 World Cup has nothing to do with the play on the field around the United States, Canada and Mexico. It has to do with food.

Fans from all over the world have descended on the United States and are trying fast food, Buc-ee's and so much more, and they're reporting on social media that they have fallen in love with all of that. And then there's the thing with ranch dressing. Yes, THAT ranch dressing (which, for the record, I find gross as heck, but hey, you do you).

It's gotten to the point where the TSA had to publicly warn fans to pack ranch bottles in their checked luggage and not carryon, which tells you all you need to know.

Let's dive in and talk about how this became a thing.

How European World Cup fans and others became obsessed with ranch dressing

This is all over social media:

The TSA had to warn travelers about bringing bottles of ranch on planes

This is a good reminder, but also a sign that the ranch obsession is huge right now.

Kraft responded with new ranch dressing travel bottles

Bravo, Kraft.

Why are World Cup fans obsessed with ranch dressing?

Seems like the condiment isn't as big of a thing in Europe or elsewhere. So when fans are trying it with their food in the United States, they're getting hooked!
