Tottenham relegation odds: Premier League standings as Spurs near safety
Seth VertelneyWith the Premier League season concluding in the coming days, Tottenham is on the verge of securing its place in the top flight for next season.
Having played in England's first division since the 1978-79 campaign, Spurs are currently one spot above the relegation line with two matches left to play.
After West Ham lost 3-1 to Newcastle on Sunday, May 17, Tottenham holds a two-point advantage over the Hammers with a game in hand.
That puts Spurs in an advantageous spot heading into Tuesday's game against Chelsea. With a win at Stamford Bridge, Tottenham will officially be safe and condemn West Ham to relegation. Even a draw should do the trick due to Tottenham's superior goal differential.
But if Tottenham loses, it all comes down to the final day of the season on Sunday.
