Arsenal took a massive step toward the Premier League title with a 1-0 win over Burnley on Monday, May 18.

Kai Havertz scored the game's only goal just before halftime, heading home from a corner kick to give Arsenal all three points against the already-relegated Clarets.

The Gunners stretched their lead to five points over second-place Manchester City, which needs to beat Bournemouth on Tuesday, May 19 to stay in the title race.

Regardless of what City does, Arsenal will clinch its first Premier League title in 22 years with a win against Crystal Palace on Sunday, the final day of the season.

Arsenal has now won four straight in the league and still has a Champions League final against PSG on the calendar later this month.

90' - Arsenal 1-0 Burnley

Seven minutes of stoppage time upcoming.

68' - Arsenal 1-0 Burnley

Havertz is very lucky there, getting a yellow card after a VAR check for his tackle on Ugochukwu. It was a bad challenge from the Arsenal forward, who put his studs into Ugochukwu's calf from behind, getting nowhere near the ball. That very well could have been red.

46' - Arsenal 1-0 Burnley

Underway in the second half.

HT - Arsenal 1-0 Burnley

That's halftime, with the home side in front. As things stand, Arsenal will be champion if Man City fails to beat Bournemouth tomorrow.

36' - GOAL ARSENAL! Kai Havertz

The Gunners open the scoring off a corner kick, as Saka delivers and Havertz rises highest to head home from close range. It's a huge goal for Arsenal!

35' - Arsenal 0-0 Burnley

Big penalty shout for Arsenal but after a VAR check, no spot kick is given. Pires was behind Saka on a low cross from Havertz and the Burnley defender seemed to just get enough of the ball from behind, despite vociferous appeals.

32' - Arsenal 0-0 Burnley

Arsenal still threatening and enjoying most of the possession, but unable to really create many clear-cut chances so far. Meanwhile, Burnley has looked threatening on the rare occasion it has been able to counterattack.

15' - Arsenal 0-0 Burnley

Trossard off the post! So close from the Belgian, who cuts in from the left and finds space at the top of the box, drilling a low shot just off the near post.

Kickoff!
